The Shema Community

This is an online community named after the famous old Hebrew prayer ‘The Shema’ that is foundational and guiding principles of the group. Deuteronomy 6:4-5

The group was set to bring new light and hope through the power of the Holy Spirit, to convict, energise, quicken, inspire and encourage people to hear from, listen to and obey the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit in such a crucial time as this – the Biblical end times. Acts 1:8

Dangers of Deception

Jesus’ warning to His disciples pointed to the dangers of deception in the last days. Therefore, it is vital to have an ear to hear what the Holy Spirit is saying, individually and as a church body, shutting out the voices of deceptive philosophies, spirituality and self-centred influencers of the world view and perspective on matters of life, hope and love. Matthew 24:4-5

The New Birth

Community members and visitors are reminded of the key Gospel message. Jesus said, you must be born-again, that is being to be reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed and sanctified to even see and experience the Kingdom of God. It’s crucial that we receive The Spirit of Truth to guide us into all truth, which is Christ Himself as King of His Kingdom. John 3:3-4

God’s New Creation

When we are born-again we become God’s new creations. We are transformed from within to begin the process of fully understanding our new identity in Christ and the Kingdom of God. We are quickened and energised by the indwelling spirit of God, now united to our spirit, with a hunger to seek after the things of God our Heavenly Father. 2 Corinthians 5:17

God’s Wisdom

God gives us wisdom from above to progressively begin to understand, comprehend, embrace our God-ordained and predestined identity, origins, destiny and purpose in Christ. As we are sincerely and earnestly seeking after Him, through the reading, hearing, studying and the preaching of the Gospel of Truth with the active word of God, His Character is our primary goal. We desire to replicate Christ’s character, our living example. Christ is the Way, the Truth and the Life – in living, and if need be, in dying. Ephesians 1:4-6

Life by the Spirit

The good news (Gospel) message of Truth of Christ (Messiah) Salvation alone, becomes our new reality and our life. The faithful promises of Christ are our living hope for the now and the future. We are by God’s grace convicted through genuine repentance and obedience, to strip off the old man of flesh, and by faith dress ourselves in the new man of Christ’s righteousness, living by the liberty of the law of the Spirit and life. Romans 8:2, Galatians 2:20

Jesus at the Centre

In Christ, our focus is shifted to things eternal from the temporal things of the perishing world. We seek to cultivate the fruit of the Spirit in our daily lives, loving God with everything and likewise our neighbour as we do ourselves. Our lives are dedicated to loving and worshiping God in Spirit and in Truth, which is the reality of our Salvation by faith in Christ our Saviour. We seek to live selfless and self-giving lives to please God our Heavenly Father, loving and serving Him with all our heart, mind, soul and strength. Sanctified and justified by faith, as God’s chosen people and royal priesthood, we are living witnesses for a time such as this, God’s instruments used to save and rescue others from hell’s fire, as living examples of God’s saving grace and power through enduring faith and trust in the Gospel Message of Truth. 1 Peter 2:9

Christ Overcomers Victory

These things we cannot do of ourselves but only through remaining vitally connected to Jesus. John 15:4. It’s a journey of a lifetime, from the beginning of understanding what it truly means to be now children of the Most High God to the end receiving our eternal rewards of enduring faith through the benefits of sonship. Romans 8

The Shema Community Book-By-Book Bible learning Guides are useful tools for personal Bible Study. They are employed to encourage people to take a deep dive into the Scriptures to develop a deeper relationship with God through Jesus.

Overall it is about filling our hearts and minds with the living word of God, understanding the historical context, environment and making the right spiritual connections to present day’s truth, with critical links to personal, local, national and global events seen from a biblical meaning and perspective.

We are equipping people to build their enduring (1) FAITH, which is abiding trust in God and His covenant promises in Christ, though unseen and not yet revealed to the senses. (2) To HOPE, with confident expectations of eternal salvation through Christ and of a better and more glorious future that defies our present situation. And the greatest of all (3) LOVE, which is Christ centred selfless, self-giving, unselfish agape love for others growing out of God’s loyal and ahavah love, that will ultimately change the world and recreate a new humanity fashioned by God Himself, in the image and likeness of Christ His first-born Son.

Therefore, it is all about our maturity and maintaining a more loving relationship with God and with our neighbours, through unwavering faith and enduring hope and unfailing love in the good news (Gospel) message of Christ Jesus (Messiah) and His righteousness.

Word Study Overview Videos

We believe that all Scriptures ultimately point to Jesus as the fulfillment of Old Testament prophecies is in Christ, birth, life teachings, his death and ultimately pointing to Jesus’ death and glorious resurrection as our victorious Heavenly Royal Priest. Therefore, we’re using an effective medium of animated videos to communicate this message. It is about helping people to love reading the Scriptures, putting Jesus as the primary focus of it all – from Genesis to Revelation (Alpha and Omega).

These innovative, free, engaging, accessible, challenging, complementary personal Bible Study tools, are about encouraging people to take a deeper dive into the Scriptures, exploring the bigger picture both the historical context and related to present our day realities personally in every aspect of our lives.

It is about spend quality time with Jesus every day, walking by the Spirit in His footsteps, and to fellowship with Him, always looking to His cross at Calvary, but mindful of the resurrection power and glory that is to be revealed beyond, in, through and upon us, as His dedicated, faithful and devoted believers. All to the honour and glory of God the Heavenly Father.
